Hi all, I'm sorry for posting this message twice, but I was really hoping somebody would help me with this problem.
I recently installed Debian 2.2r5 on my machine, but it turned out that it comes with older version of XFree86, namely 3.3.6, which doesn't seem to recognize my video card (Intel i810e). So I downloaded XFree86 4.2.0 binaries and installed them over my old X system using XInstall script. The installation seemed to be successful, but when I tried to run xf86config I got the following error: xf86config: /lib/libc.so.6: version 'GLIBC_2.2' not found (required by /usr/X11R6/lib/libx11.so.6) What might that mean? I'm sure I downloaded appropriate binaries - ix86-glibc22. Thanks, Yaroslav. _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
