Even though there are no tags to show the way itself, the rendering engine sees the "name" tag, and draws the name along the way. A solution would be to use a tag that is not valid in the rendering rules. Maybe use name_remark as the tag. If you put a valid tag on the way, the rendering engine is going to try and draw what it can with the information provided.
