[EMAIL PROTECTED] drakx
bash: drakx: command not found

that's what I get.

I told mandrake during the install to NOT BOOT INTO X to begin with. I have very little RAM and I wanted to get into X on my own.

is there a configuration utility for X built in? What is the command?

THanks!

You had to type startx? Did you tell it to start X automatically when
you installed?

Try running drakx as root and see if that will configure X for you.

Hiya All,

I just installed Mandrake 10.0, and I can't seem to get X to work.

I type 'startx' and I get the following...

Using authority file /home/nathan/.Xauthority Writing authority file /home/nathan/.Xauthority Using authority file /home/nathan/.Xauthority Writing authority file /home/nathan/.Xauthority

execv failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 13)
giving up.
xinit: No such file or dirctory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

How can I get X to work?

Thanks!
