Even if you said that, you should have configured it at the last part of the 
install.  I've run into this before.  The only solution I found was to boot 
with the install disk, click through the beginning, say you want to do an 
"upgrade", it figures out everything is installed, then the installer will 
jump to the config where you can configure and test X.
