I decided not to coat my tank. One little screw-up and that sealant is making a mess of your tank. I decided that just flushing it out with gas was O.K. I got a lot of black flecks out of there that way. P.S...If your cam cover gasket (head gasket) is blown your gonna know it...it will be spewing oil out everywhere. Even if the gasket is out it wouldn't cause a vibration, might just freeze up the motor due to lack of oil. ----- Original Message ----- From: "emile" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, December 01, 2008 11:36 AM Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Re: Pegs vibrate(badly) over 5500 rpm @ 60mph
It seems to be related to RPM's as opposed to speed, as the pegs buzz even when the bike is in neutral. BTW did you ever get a chance to recoat your tank? I think I'm going to try it once I get the gaskets done...lots of little flecks of nastiness in my fuel filter...also if you look in my tank it looks like a barnacled old boat hull. It's actually GREEN now. On Nov 30, 2:06 pm, "Creative Residential Designs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I've had my Hawk to 110 with no problems.
