Graham,

I can't say now. The 700SC with the Avons is the one down in New Zealand
and I've forgotten the model.

Dennis(s), when you say Avons - any Avons or a particular 'model'? I found
Avon Road Runners. There are just so many different models, Graham

I've mounted many tires on 700s's and rode them and got feed-back from
owners. One of my 700's has Continentals (NG) and the other has Avons. As
long as I can get Avons in that odd size, I'll keep buying them. It's the
best bias-ply tire I've used. costly ? Sure.
I need all the advantages I can get and I'm willing to pay for them. No way
will I ever put up with "black, round, holds air" There is a reason for
premium tires. I look at it this way; when you find out that the corner is
waaay tighter than it looked and you're going down... the diference in price
doesn't look so bad. My tires are better than my ability as a rider. That
suits me fine. The other way around is unacceptable.
