Apology accepted. I'd like to have another 47 years. For however many I do, I'll take all the trick stuff I can get to stack the deck in my favor. High wattage headlight, extra brake light, competition brake system. and yes, the best tires I can buy. It's whole lot more dangerous to street ride today than it was even when the 700s was new. I like riding a bike that can easily exceed my ability. All it takes is self-control. At my age, that comes with the turf. So I don't get it down to the pegs, it's nice knowing that the rubber would hang on if it had to. A huge margin of safety is a nice thing, nobody cuts you any breaks. There's no protection from the lady talking on her cell phone and talking with her hands while she pilots an SUV. Fear of that situation gives me concern. Your patriotism is duly noted. United we stand.

I don't Ride Fast either so that makes Two of us. As far as Insurance against the Unexpected like you Mention. I Signed up and Completed the Experienced Motorcycle Rider Course this Year for Starters and Plan on doing so every Year. I Choose to Wear My Helmet even though I live In Pennsylvania where Wearing a Helmet is Optional which I think is Crazy but that's my Opinion. I also wear my Textile Jacket, Leather Gloves, Textile Pants and my Boots. I even have Separate Medical Insurance Coverage in case the inevitable does Happen. So I would like to say I have my Bases Covered also. In ending yes it is my Money, my Butt, My 47 Year Old Butt which Plans on Being around another 47 Years at Least, Riding Motorcycle still I hope. As far as Riding what Suits me, This is Why I like and Live in the USA. Steve...............................
