I want to record my VF1100 too, a very nice sound. Shorten by about 1/2~3/4" I think your burble will still be there but there will be some changes. I have to look for some charts I have on the dynamics of carburation. It shows what is being used at different throttle openings.

I'll try putting the stock air filter back in and recording that at the same RPMs for something to compare to. I'll also try cutting the cup around the top to make it shorter, and narrower so it will go deeper into the cone. -Kyle -Sent from Houston, TX, United States On Fri, Sep 4, 2009 at 11:21 PM, Dennis Hammerl <[email protected]> wrote: After looking closely at the photo and listening to the audio file, I conclude the cup is too tall and blocking some of the inlet.
