Hey Paul and gang. Love this website. In a previous comment someone indicated
that some of the Nighthawk 750's ( I have a 91 and runs like a top) due to the
emissions additions ran "poorly" until thoroughly warmed up. Certainly I
experience that. Is it something that can be remedied or the nature of the
beast, it has so many other virtues that are outstanding. Thanks all for your
input. Louie

Very cool pictures!! Thanks for sharing! I loved your quote: "The French are
much better at suing for peace than prosecuting a war..."

Didn't get a whole lot of pics on the drive. That is kinda difficult
especially at speed on corners.

The citadel is a fortress originally built on orders from Louis XIV. It has
been beat up quit a bit since then.

The French love it because in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 the Citadel held
out against the Prussians even after all the rest of France surrendered (big
surprise). Prussians still whooped the French and the Citadel.

The Prussians left the Citadel in 1918 (huh). They came back a few years later
with a swastika. Allies beat/bombed the crap out of the place and the French
surrendered the fort for last time in 1945. In 1960 the fort was given back to
the townspeople.

It's now a museum with a "Garden of Peace" right below the southside walls.
The French are much better at sueing for peace than prosecuting a war so the
garden seemed appropriate.

Awesome countryside. Awesome villiage; they really make great coffee and bread.
