The best solution to that problem is to buy one tight front to back so it fits side to side, Then apply a ball peen hammer gently to the inner liner so provide for proper fit. No harm in slightly compressing the foam to make it fit right. I've had to do it to a couple along the way. Personally, I can't stand a loose fit. They stretch out way too soon anyway. Yes, Shoei makes a great helmet. I wore them for years till the prices went above 350. Now they can be over 700. Too pricey for me. Bells now are rebranded Italian somethings. This coming season, I'll be looking for a new one for warm weather use.
