Well, my filters came in. I'm about to go get some oil. I thought I would get the group's opinion on what the best oil would be. I've been using standard Valvoline 10W-40 in my truck and it's still going strong at 318K. I was going to use the same in the Nighthawk but I know oil has changed in the last 25 years and I would like to know weather 10W-40 is still a good fit. Are synthetics out of the question? It's an '85 650 and has 16,500 miles on it and is running fine. I don't know what it has in it. I've only had the bike for the last 2K. I'm in northeast Texas, cold weather won't be an issue. And while I've got you, what grade gas do you run? Thanks!
