This is exactly what I have on my 96 750. I purchased it rack and all from another member of this group. The hardest part is finding the luggage rack if you don't have one.
Now that I have one I would suggest that you look on eBay at the other trunks available. A friend purchased one for his bike and it's very similar to the Givi box just a lot less expensive. His mounts exactly the same way as my Givi so it will work just as well. One upside to adding the trunk is that my kids like it better than the stock backrest - it gives them about 3 more inches of room to lean back. It works really well.
