The complete 440 was planned to put in the '72 GTX. The GTX has the original
340
grabber hood and is a rolling chassis. The 327 I found in a barn, it came out
of
a '67 El Camino and I want to put it into a '76 El Camino that I picked up. We
also have some 383's for spares. I planned on pulling the engine out of my '69
GTO this fall for a rebuild. The timing chain is shot so I thought I'd just do
it all...gaskets, high velocity oil pump, timing chain and what-not. I'm the
second woman to own that one. I also have another '69 GTO which was running a
Judge engine and rear-end. I need to check the numbers on that one to see if it
is a real Judge. The fella who had it blew up the motor when he was drunk. His
wife took a baseball bat to the windshield and told to him sell it or he was
next. He sold it to me and when she found out what he sold it for, she took a
skillet to him instead. You can't please some women. I got so many projects
that
I can retire with the assurance that I'll NEVER be bored. I've sold a few too
and never regretted it since I made really good money off of them. So much for
my family telling me what a fool I am to keep a private junk yard. Let me know
what you have planned and how things go as well Joe.

Hi Kim,

I also replied to your other post, but changed the post heading to:

"I think this guy has more NH's than Graham (w/ bikes/cars for sale
list)" by MOPARJOE

So, what year are your 440 engines? What cars (if any) are they
planned for? I started collecting cars and parts at age 14 (had 3 cars
before I had a licence). I put my first 440 in a car at age 15. Never
got married till a few years ago,a nd pretty much spent most of my
life and income buying cars and parts, and increasing the quality, and
quantity of my collection (cars and parts). I traveled the country
since I was 18 (now 46) buying cars and parts. I would just keep
selling off the "lesser cars and parts, when I could replace them w/
better stuff, but mostly I just kept buying....The fire has wiped us
out, and allthough I have a lot of "toys" left, they don't pay the
bills, or put food on the table.

Check out the other post (above info for link) to see what cars and
bikes I am selling right now. Joe
