I remember driving down the mountains with my '78 Beetle and pushing it even harder at every corner, it was a blast! Once I found myself almost seating on the passenger side, holding the steering wheel firmly with both hands while taking a long-hard curve to the right, fighting back the centrifugal forces. It was the first car I ever owned, I paid for it with my work, and it took me everywhere without complaining. I will do 10 miles of very steep mountain routes in 4th gear with the gas pedal on the floor, every single day to go to work. My old beetle is probably the only material thing I have ever regret to sell.
