Sorry to hear about that Daniel. My mother had colon cancer back in
the 80's. Recovery today is greatly improved since back then and
you're right - NHs can wait, family can't, Graham

Hi all,
I appreciate all the help I've been given from this forum... great
members. Unfortunately, I've sold the bike. My father-in-law has
been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, spread through his lymph
nodes and into his liver. He's had the colon surgery, is recovering
from that, and will start chemo for his liver tumours as soon as he's
healed from the colon surgery. So far this summer, my wife has been
up with him every second she's not at work, so I've been doing a lot
of single parenting, which is fine but doesn't leave any time for much
more bike repairs. We've offered to have him move in with us, so I'm
paring back projects like this one, because I know I'll never get
around to it now until who knows when, and to be honest, I was really
looking forward to getting it running but family comes first. So far
he's healing fast, he's in great health (otherwise) so he's probably
in the upper percentile for healing well.
Thanks again for the support, here's hoping I can come back with
another NH in the future.
Daniel
