I don't tend to like soldered connections in automotive applications. Seen too many of them fail, seen too many of my own fail (and I'm fairly good with an iron) due to vibrations and stress.
Instead I have a ratcheting action compound pressure crimper with replaceable dies. I like the F-type crimps with the integral strain relief. Cost me quite a bit, but it's been worth every single penny.
