I couldn't agree more. Forget about following distance and ride your
own ride. Losing the group is way better than losing your ride because
you went into a turn faster than you were ready too.
I also second the opinion of taking a BRC course. Not only is it a
good idea, but I found mine to be a lot of fun too.
