This has always been a problem for me too! It may feel unsafe to keep
up and if they get too far ahead you will lose them. The only answer
is RADIO! FRS works pretty good out to a mile, CB maybe to a couple
miles, and ham radio to maybe 10 miles or more. Cellphones may work
but in the bush only on high spots or where there's coverage. The
problem with all of them is a comfortable helmet/bluetooth connection
that is always there. Having a leader not using a radio or cell is a
style I won't do. Take you time, enjoy the ride, and if they leave you
behind you don't want to ride with them anyway.
