Al I know is that I used it to lube the chain on a bicycle and the bike shop 
told me it washed the grease out of the wheel bearings.

WD is also a solvent, and the "new" formulas do incorporate lubricants in 
solution. By this point WD40 is just a brand name, as the company has been 
steadily moving toward making it a miracle spray for all your ills.

seafom to stuck bolts and such... Generaly i tend to use the generic spray lube 
from walmart... Unless im trying to displace water or start a diesel
