Did you know that Canola - which means Canadian oil - is deodorized rapeseed oil? I use olive oil for lo temp cooking, but with butter, and I do like the French - brown the butter before cooking with it. But, still, I am finding out that coconut oil is better for one's health than all of the others. Why? because it is composed of medium chain fatty acids, not long chain, like the others. Our bodies can metabolize it immediately, not store it as fat. There is proof. Look it up for yourself, don't take my word for it... Where do I get all of this info? For the past seven years I have been able to do a few hours a day of extensive research on the net, on the job, because there is not much else to do. It's a storage facility. Well, now I have no job and I have even more time. For all my effort, though, I haven't found a kit on the net that is inxpensive for the front caliper of my 450, and the complete replacement master cylinder I saw before I aquired the bike is gone. It was only around $30.00, I think. I think I will attempt to get the "O"-rings from the local rubber and gasket shop. They usually lay it on me, unless I need hi - temp stuff, then I gotta pay. I will probably be riding my 450 to N. Carolina in a few weeks, around the 10th of April. When I change the oil, I will, of course, NOT use olive oil, or Canola (even though it withstands higher temps). I will use Amsoil made specifically for motorcycles, to avoid friction modifiers.
