*Assuming you have a Goldwing GL1100 Interstate here are the instructions
for removing the rear wheel:*

*1. Put the motorcycle on it's center stand (duh!)*
*2. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolts and nuts*
*3. Raise the rear while with a block of wood large enough that the axle
clears the muffler*
*4. After raising the caliper, remove the three final drive case nuts and
pull the wheel backwards, then remove the wheel from the left.*

*These instructions are unique to the 1980 and 81 Interstate. *
