Get another quote, (after which you MAY end up doing #1 anyway)* *3. Cut your losses and try to sell the bike as a project to someone else* *4. Take it on as your own project (are you up to the mechanical demands?)* *5. Shelve the bike altogether and buy another bike to ride that is ready to go* *6. Buy another rideable bike for now while you work on the NH. (You can always sell the rideable bike later.)* * * *Honestly, if a) you're not strapped for money and b) you're not all that mechanically-inclined and c) you plan on keeping and riding the bike for a long time, there's a decent argument to be made for just having the work done and enjoying your motorcycle. You may never get your money out of it later on...but for some people that's not the most important issue.* * * *Not every decision MUST be predicated on monetary value.
