First, welcome to the group! And, where are the pics?

So, was the bike sitting long before you bought it? If so I'd certainly
suspect the carbs. Good next place to look anyways. Most here be suggest you
run a half a can or so of seafoam through the system if you can get it
running. Otherwise you'll pulling the carbs and making sure all the jets and
passages are clean.
