Boy you guy's know your stuff yes I was try too keep it running so now i can't wait till morning to try firing it up cold to see it still does it thank you for your help..

You could have loaded up the exhaust with fuel mixture. Backfires are from too much fuel. Unless you get them during deceleration then it is a lean condition.
