Try putting the clean set on. My bike came with a cylinder that wouldn't fire until the bike was warmed up due to restricted pilot jets. If you still have issues after replacing the carbs recheck the plug wiring on #1 and 2. Check compression. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T

You may have some plug wires crossed so that a cylinder or two isn't firing and the unburnt fuel is traveling out the exhaust and igniting when it hits the hot exhaust from the other cylinders. You could also have over- richened the mix which could cause similar issues.
