Yes but... bikes have only had fuel injection as standard in the last 6 or so 
years (give or take) and cars have had it since the 80's (starting with TBI). 
Can't remember offhand when catalytic converters became mandatory for cars... 
mid 80's?

basically, 'on the whole' they still pollute more :( :( :(

really makes me sad :( Even the much higher MPGs, they still aren't that good...
