Agreed. Ideally I'd like to replace the taillight with a combination
brake/signal all-in-one, then put a couple of lights on the side of the front
fairing for signals. LEDs simply give more lumens in a smaller space. OEM
signals are bulbous and the stems are rotty.

LEDs don't = brighter. Unless you have a lot of them a regular bulb will be
brighter. Also the size of the turn signal is the most important aspect to
visibility and the larger the better. The reason to go LEDs is to conserve
power and IMHO the only place on the bike that makes sense is the brake
light.Sent via BlackBerry by AT&TFrom: Curtis Park <[email protected]>

So on the bulb package what should I be looking for to know if my bulb has a
ballast or not? I don't have a charging problem I just wanted brighter lights.

Why would I need that? I've had them on the bike now for months. Never had a
problem.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] Nighthawk S turn signals
Greetings NHLs,
I have had it with the disintegrating turn signals on my 1986 CB700 SC. Has
anyone had any luck with replacement signals? Specifically LEDs. J&P cycles as
well as kneedraggers.com has LED turn signals that may fit. I just don't know
if they will work properly. Has anyone installed a set that works well?

Thanks in advance.
