Hey so I found this guy parting out an 83 NH 650 and according to him the
instrument panel is in excellent shape he offered it to me for $50 (which
if it's in as nice shape as he says I can prob sell on ebay for around $100
if I change my mind anyways). I wanted to get this because of the faded
(not totally gone) lcd displays on mine. Is this totally compatible with
the 85'? I know the main difference is just the numbering, on the 83 its
increments of 10 whereas the 85' has it in 5s. Is this a mistake or would
it totally be fine if I switch em out? Also if I do switch it out, how do
you match the odo numbers? From what he said this one had only like 9K
miles on it.

Oh and BTW this guy has a recovered seat in good condition that he was
willing to sell for $50 FYI I was thinking of getting it but I figured I'll
just recover mine. He told me the motor blew so if theres any specific
parts your looking for that may still be good on the bike I can get you his
number its about 40-60 miles south of buffalo, NY. I was also thinking of
taking the cam chain tensioner from it to replace mine if the price was
right, does that sound like too much, or should I just stick to trying to
replace the spring tensioner part?
