No double cradle -- a single down-tube in front, with the engine
serving as a stress member, connected to a fitting in the rear which
also serves as a mount for the swing arm.

Crack apparently developed from a combo of stress and heat, probly
from being put away wet during some point in its life.  I've seen a
650 in that condition -- ridden at sustained top speed with very
little warmup, then shut down with no gradual cool down.

(I was running from the cops at the time!)
