I am sure people like Kurt will have a much better answer, but basically the brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, and loses its properties. By flushing it you also remove most of the deposits and solid particles the build up over time. I like to do it once a year. There are ways to do it without the hand pump, but is _a lot_ easier with it. Clutch uses the same stuff, so you should do the same maintenance as well. Javier. I've been thinking it should probably be done. How important is this maintenance and would getting a hand pump and pumping new fluid through until it runs clean be the proper way to do this. How often shold it be done? What are your recommendations for the clutch reservoir? > >Nate > >-- >You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups >"Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group. >To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an >email to [email protected]. >To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. >Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/nighthawk_lovers. >For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
