I have used a heat gun with good results both in removing old and installing new. I thought – from somewhere – that the glue is thermo setting.

Is there a "trade secret" for installing OEM hand grips on a 98CB750NH? I had EXTREME difficulty yesterday installing an OEM hand grip on the throttle pipe. The Honda glue is the stickiest substance know to man, the glue cures REAL FAST, the grip is a very TIGHT interference fit on the pipe. You get excess glue inside the pipe which interferes with throttle operation. The grip jams 1/2 way on the pipe. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
