When I was a kid I worked in a bicycle shop. We always had a can of hairspray on hand. Spray allot and the grip will slide right on. the hairspray drys and the grips a locked in place. If you ever have to replace the grips you can slide a flat head screw driver under the grip, spray a little water and repeat. in a couple of minutes the water will start to melt the hairspray and you're able to get the grips off. I probably did this 100 times in that shop.
