Thanks EGrider. Once I pull plugs I will check size with a hand wrench and measure height for deep-well (adding about 3/4"). And then, as you say, I've got to find a thin-walled deep-well or spark-plug socket. I won't hold my breath, but worth a try - for me.
Thanks for the gas tank recipes (and the caution) - I've got a hunch I'm going to need them. And thanks, I see I need to pay attention to the gas tank early into this, because it will be off the bike for awhile (while I work on lots of other bike related renovation).
