no, the part is plastic and was located in the housing. i have a new metal 
ring but my concern is that without that ring i showed you( it acts as a 
buffer tween brush ring and spinner)It will burn out again, dunno what it 
is called. wish i new. spread it around someone here has to know what it 
is, lol
