I recently bought my second nighthawk... a1982 750. Apparently the bike was idle for about 30 years. The odometer showed only 2600 miles which is supposedly original. The front forks are leaking air and a minute amount of oil. Due to sitting for so long the forks are pitted and I was told they would need to be replaced. I found a used set but they are from a 1982 650. My question is will the 650 forks fit on the 750. Also the fuel gauge does not work does not work.Any Ideas Why a bike with such low mileage has this issue.
