Measure the forks. I know the 82 650 NH has the same diameter tubes as a 82
750 but the standard 650 uses smaller tubes. As for length and brake mounts
and such I don't know. So while a 650 NH fork may fit the triple clamps it
could still be all wrong.

You can remove the tank sensor and clean the contacts on the float arm.

You can clean up the pits in the fork tubes with aluminum foil then fill
them in with epoxy if necessary. However I have been surprised before where
forks that I thought would leak from pitting didn't after replacing the
seals.
