I also agree that it was repainted and it looks to me they used the 83-85 650 Nighthawk blue. As for the cam chain rattle you would need to replace the tensioner or at least replace the spring/ part that is causing the rattle. People here who have bikes that have the rattle seem to do just fine with just ignoring the noise. Besides you really should use ear plugs when you ride to protect your hearing anyway.
