Sorry that didn't fix your problem. 

You may be better at removing screws better than me, but when faced with 
such a situation, my first course of action is to use a dremel to put a 
notch in the side of the head, if space allows. Then I use a punch and tap 
hammer to try to get it to loosen with hammer blows after soaking it with 
Liquid Wrench or similar and smacking it all around to loosen it. If the 
punch and hammer treatment doesn't work, I resort to left-handed drills. If 
the thing would actually rather I drill a hole through the middle of it 
than give up and turn, I next put  an easy out into the hole. If that 
doesn't work, I make the hole big enough to allow me to dig the screw metal 
out of the threads manually. 

The process rarely goes farther than the left-handed drill, though. The 
friction holding the threads in is usually less than the rotational force 
of drilling out the metal.
