Donny, using the brake lever pressure is how I always remove the pistons.
First of all I make sure reservoir is full, then remove calipers from
rotors, then the spring in bottom of calipers if pistons are far enough
back, then with short lengths of paint stirring sticks, I start pumping the
brakes keeping all pistons the same using the paint sticks to stop one or
the other. That way I can get them all to where they are just on the brink
of popping out. Then it’s just a wiggle.
