I've found that the Nikon DX format is more than adequate for 99% of my shooting, so I haven't bothered to buy a new FX sensor size body. I still have 3 Nikon film bodies (2 F2 and an F3) and 22 manual focus Nikon lenses, though I haven't shot much film in the past year. I do, however, still use quite a few of those lenses on my D80 and D50's. The 50-135 f/3.5 Nikon zoom is an outstanding portrait lens, as is my old 85mm f/1.8. I'm an old school shooter, so I don't mind using a handheld meter when necessary, Besides, my Gossen Ultra Pro is much more accurate in available light shooting than any built in...

Pentax K-mount primes are cheap and plentiful. I did not sell my Nikon primes and one day they will have a body to go with, but as an incedental result of the above choice I simply managed to avoid, or simply bypass, the Nikon DX format altogether.
