Most of my shooting is either wildlife (moose, elk, deer, etc.) or football
(American) and Basketball for a magazine. I do not know much about
wideangle or landscape. On our last trips to Prague, Cesky Krumlov and
Romania, I used several wideangles for travel shots including a 12-24 and
18-70. I do not know much about composition of true landscapes but I try to
learn. As I said, I still use the D200 while wife uses a D700. For me, the
DX really works better and impending retirement from my law practice
dictates that I not upgrade cameras every time a new one comes out. I might
give the D300 or 300s a try though.
It is good to see some of the guys and gals I got to know over the years
still posting and giving their valuable advice.

Nice to see you are still around!
No problems at all using both my AFD 24 and AIS 24 on the D700.
I love using wide angles for landscapes, so I am going even wider.
