Hmm. OK. I am trying to figure out what is going on. When you say "change
the font of a given ruler" WHERE are you changing the font? Are you doing
this under "Define Styles/Font"?

I am running NW 6.0.3 (you don't say which you have) and i have tried
changing fonts by the menu, by styles ( within Define Styles), I have even
changed the Language of my style and highlighted text. My Hebrew and English
fonts remain as assigned in multi-language sentences.

What more info can you give us?
