OpenSolaris IS based on Linux now....If you have an old copy of Solaris and perhaps some old Sun hardware, you might give it a try. But for most 'modern' servers, Linux is a better choice going forward, since Sun could become part of IBM. If that happens, where will the development and support of openSolaris/Solaris go?
