What we have here is a "user friendliness" issue.  The target audience 
of these studio combinations is not a group given to software 
installation issues.  What I find intriguing is how successful the 
Elastix (www.elastix.org) have been in packaging an 
Asterisk/FreePBX/CentOS "roll up" (albeit their 1.5.2 stable has a 
CentOS issue).  We are going to see more of these "roll ups" over time 
targeted to specific applications.  I can think of one in particular - 
LedgerSMB needs one in the worst way.

For those of us that don't mind working a list of packages to link up 
(the meta package), how do we get "the list?"

PS - I looked at the Ubuntu Studio site and they are also smitten with 
the DVD install.  Sigh.  Why can't we boot from a small media and get 
everything else on the net?

PPS - Today's Wall Street Journal has an interesting piece about the 
issues NetFlix faces as the DVD faces extinction.
