I was making that comment in response to a suggestion that
people just swipe a credit card in order to register (see:
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
).
Before I swipe a card, I would like to know who I can sue for
negligence when my data takes a walk :-)

I would suggest you do not get people to swipe credit cards,
then. A simple rails gui atop a basic DB would be all that we need,
really. Something I think Rick or Steve can whip up in 30 minutes or
so.
