I am going to "bite the bullet" and make all the Windows users I support to Linux.
Alternately they can find a new friend. The question of remote support has been a sticking point. LogMeIn works great for Mac and Windows. I find only Hamachi as a LogMeIn option to install on the remote Linux computer. It is CLI and that doesn't suffice for giving remote support. Similarly VNC. Do I misunderstand VNC or Hamachi providing a GUI? What about TeamViewer? http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx It seems to fit the need but it just seems too straight forward. I felt that way about LogMeIn when I first looked at it. What are others using to provide remote support to user workstations? -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
