and what for?  look at qmail maildir format:  it comes without that stupid
.sequence file.  then again, the sequences are a special function in nmh,
if "virtualisation" started with a few little scripts to abstract these
functions, they could even end there, not much work.

all the other stuff would work with maildir-format, which is well understood
in by, e.g. qmail, which is understood by fetchmail, which has an imap-
interface.
