An example bucket here is "College Savings". It was at $0 on Dec. 31st. No money allocated, no money to spend. Now it's at $-50 (in red). But looking at the money flows, it doesn't show me allocating any money to this yet. There is a scheduled transaction set to occur at the end of January though. (have plans to allocate some money in an upcoming paycheck for this future transaction, but not yet....)
