I would have dated the car payment as 26-Feb because that's when I  
entered it. MoneyWell will set the reconciled date automatically for  
you so you'll also know the date it cleared by reconciling your account.

It's hard to define exactly when a pending payment should be  
recognized in the bucket because you may get paid a few days prior to  
the pending transaction so you really did have more in there because a  
new allocation was about to happen. As with any system, there's only  
so much that can be automated so we need to keep the human element in  
there and recognize that a big expense is coming up but MoneyWell or  
any other system won't alert us about it until it's due.

As MoneyWell matures, so will it's abilities to manage more complex  
scenarios. I'm working on some new controls for 2.0 to help with this  
process.
