I'm not quite sure why you are working so hard to keep money from showing up in your buckets after an allocation. Are you trying to avoid spending the money before the 15th? The goal of envelope budgeting is to limit spending by splitting up your money in to smaller spending categories to avoid the temptation to spend money on entertainment when the rent hasn't been paid yet. Having money in the individual buckets ahead of your spending shouldn't be a huge issue because they are still maintained by category. > Secondly, it would be quite handy to have an field in the Allocate > Income sheet to set the date for the flows. I'm trying to avoid making the Allocate Income panel too complicated and I'm still not sure how this would help most people. What is being added though are more ways to manage and view money flows.
